Pardon us while we do some transformations around the website. The Scariest Things, after six years of operations, is making a website change... and we're doing it ourselves! Oh, the Horror! You might be seeing some amazing adjustments and some horrifically mutated changes. We have been overcome with world-conquering mad science at our cores!
It's hard to believe, but we made it! The Scariest Things turned 100 episodes old, and we had some of our Patreon pals and horror media associates to celebrate with us by picking through our Horror Movie Championship Tournament, where we picked the best Horror Movie of all Time!
Celebrate the best of 2021 Horror in the 2022 Thingy Awards! Yeah, it's a little late in the Awards season, but we're all still recovering from the Will Smith slap heard around the world, and now that we have recovered from being stunned, it's time to concentrate on the Scariest Things you saw from last year. Once again, you are invited to fill in a ballot for your favorites from 2021!
It's our favorite time of the year! Everybody have a safe (but scary) Halloween out there! TST suggests this is when you make your scary movie commitments and resolutions. Settle in for the evening waiting for the trick or treaters, and put on a spooky flick. You deserve it! The best time to map out a solid schedule of horror movies is when you are completely addled with sugar.

With the New Year on us, it is time to rate the best horror movies of 2024. What initially appeared to be a tough year for the genre turned itself around late. This year won't be as impactful as last year, but it had some terrific films at the front of the pack that fans will remember and cherish.

Another year in horror is in the books. 2023 produced a few films that will be remembered for generations to come. The big studios found a groove just in time to tripped up by a writer and actor strike. There was consistently good content provided this year, with thankfully few stinkers. It is time for the Mid-Year Scariest Things grand celebration: Once again, we surveyed and received votes from our favorite fans and industry contacts to determine the best horror movies of last year. If there were a couple of themes from last year: Possession and Australia. We got a lot of both in 2023, and it was GOOD. It was one of the best years for horror in the past ten years!
A little extra treat for our Podcast Listeners. We had a live run through of one of our favorite activities: A Bracket Fight! A live audience of about 150 got to hoot and holler for their favorite monsters and selecting a creature feature champion. There were some great upsets and definite fan favorites. Who won?
