One of our favorite annual happenings! Picking the BEST horror movie posters of the year. It’s fair to say that graphic design in 2023 came in like a little sheep, but left as a full-blown lion. From the outrageous and grotesque to the sublime and beautiful, designers really offered some interesting stuff in 2023.

There's obviously no reason to re-hash 2020 and the fact that we haven't physically been to a movie theater -- FOR NEARLY A YEAR! But, sadly, we haven't. We haven't had chance to stare lovingly at the marquee, the pamphlet with the coming features, and most importantly, the poster.
If you're a regular listener to our little ol' podcast you've probably heard us wax poetically about the (sadly) uneven implementation of one of the greatest horror plot lines of all time -- the Amityville Horror. If you're of a certain age Amityville and the Lutz family was all the talk. On the newsstands, in the classroom, at the water cooler. People were...um...obsessed...with this sad family and their demonic plight.
What's the best slasher film of all time? What better way to find out by doing a bracket fight! 64 of the most notable horror films face off in a tournament-style bracket. The all-time classics you know face off against the underground fringe exploitation fare... who comes out on top? You pick!
We are celebrating the influence of the slasher movie to the horror genre by ranking them in tiers! The sheer volume of knife-wielding psycho movies is almost overwhelming, but The Scariest Things has taken the time to accumulate as many mad slasher films as we could and compared them to each other. The cool thing? If you disagree, you can shuffle the deck and make your own choices!
It's been 16 long years, but the wait is over! Eli Roth teased us with some exceptional grindhouse glee in 2007 when he cobbled together a faux trailer for Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's Grindhouse.
The almighty George Romero has a new movie coming out in June 2021! Wait, hasn't he been dead since 2017!?!? Indeed he has, but that doesn't mean that he didn't create a mountain of content never before seen by human eyes. In the same way that Prince will be releasing albums well in to the next century, Romero may have some additional gems that have never made their way out of the crypt. Until now!
