The Scariest Things now has an Official Companion App and we need your help to get it out to the masses who so desperately need it!
Why do I need another app?

Our new creation isn’t just “another app”. Heavens, no! The whole thing has been designed from the ground up and built natively for Android and iOS to enhance everything you love about The Scariest Things experience.
First of all — before we dive into the awesomeness of the Scariest App — let’s get this part out of the way:
The Scariest Things app is FREE. No ads, no analytics, no pay-to-play. Just plain FREE.
We love our site and want to give our fans the best reading and listening experience we can. That’s all.
So, what does “the best” mean? It means you can control just about everything when it comes to reading our reviews and articles. You can adjust:
- Font style
- Background and text color
- Font size
- Line spacing and margins
- Text justification
- Image positioning
- Image captions
When it comes to listening to our podcast or other bonus audio events, here’s what you can expect:
- The complete Scariest Things podcast library is available!
- All audio is automatically leveled (EBU R128 normalization, for the curious) to make everything nice and smooth. No more lurching for the volume knob when the sound suddenly gets too loud.
- There’s a fully functional multiband audio equalizer so you can customize the listening experience.
- Background playback.
- Resume episodes where you left off.
- Make a listening queue of things you want to hear next.
You can even download articles and episodes to your phone for offline enjoyment!
All of the above and more! You can check out the app’s official site right here.
Okay, that does sound cool. How can I help?
Right now the app is in Closed Testing for Android and iOS. In order for us to finally release it into the app stores, we need testers! And that’s where you come in.
If you’d like to join the Closed Testing for our cool new app all you have to do is send an email to [email protected] and make sure you include the following:
- Do you use Android or iOS?
- If you use iOS, what email address do you want to use for app-related emails?
- If you use Android, we will need the email address you use with the Google Play store.
That’s it!

If you run into any bugs, have a feature suggestion, or just want to send some feedback, you’ll find a “Report a Bug” button and a “Suggestion Box” button in Your Crypt. Just hit the profile circle icon on the far right at the top of the screen.
Thanks for sticking with us for all these years! We hope you enjoy our latest creation.
