This iconic poster serves up all the imagery necessary to set up the franchise, with the curious exception that Freddie’s face isn’t shown, with a skull in place of his famous burned flesh visage. Graphically powerful, I love the way that the claw hands direct your attention to Nancy’s startled gaze. The way the shadows and Nancy’s hair splay outward also make the image explode off the page.
