For everybody who has been enjoying Tiger King, you’ve seen NOTHING. Roar follows a roughly biographical take of a famous family who did the most insane experiment ever: living with 150 big wild lions, tigers, and other big cats. The tagline says it all: “No animals were injured in the process of making this movie, but 70 cast and crew members were.” It’s the most dangerous movie ever made.
Did we ask for this? Is the zombie genre dead? Did the Walking Dead franchise kill the zombie genre? Will Train to Busan 2 live up to its forefather? Is this really just cheap hype for a video game tie in? SO. MANY. QUESTIONS!!!
★★ out of ★★★★★ The tweens are taking over! Hollyweird has handed over the castle keys to a gaggle of focused-grouped 13-year olds. Scary films are now purposely trying to not be scary. All is lost.
Horror fans, unite behind a cause! Support the great independent theaters that cater to the little horror films that we love, that nobody else will put on the big screen. If we don’t help them now, some of them may not be back after we escape from this virus nightmare.
This is, shall we say, the horror trope of the moment. As we all sit at home and pick what we want to watch streaming from the comfort of our living rooms, a lot of us have been fascinated with the horror that is contagious.

★★ out of ★★★★★ Sometimes less really is more. And sometimes way less is really way more. Eschewing all prior entries in Paranormal Activity franchise, and more importantly questioning the simple aesthetic of the found footage horror sub-genre. Enter Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension. For those of you keeping track at home — and sadly, at this point, you really need to keep track to follow this franchise — this is number six.
