Horror Short: Halloween ’63

While Halloween, Halloween Kills, and Halloween Ends may have left a bad taste in your mouth, get ready, because there’s an entirely new and inventive take on THE Michael Myers.

Going back to where it all started, director Lorenzo P. Adams takes some very fun liberties and pokes at the Michael Myers mythos. Make no mistake Halloween ’63 is not a comedy, but a bone-chilling black and white adaptation of the night where it all began.

This is the Michael-Myers-fan-fiction-horror-short that you’ll want to see. While there’s likely more blood than the 1978 original, Halloween ’63 packs a whole lot into its 11-minute run time.

Most importantly, you get to see — sort of — what makes Michael tick. David Gordon Green would have benefitted greatly from a little thought and a little inventiveness. Halloween ’63 offers both.

Sit back, put away your Halloween II action figures, and take in an entirely new-ish take on Michael Myers and the terror he’s wrought for the last 45 or 60 years.
