Hello Los Angelinos! Are you looking for a Halloween-themed live event to set you in a Haloweeny mood? A friend of The Scariest Things, playwright Sharon Yablon, is directing a horror stage production for Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group, “They Fondle the Bones of the Dead”.
Why go to a movie when you can see the horror played out live and on stage? Do something a little different this Halloween season! Only four shows: Monday, October 26, and Tuesday, October 27. Shows are at 8:00 PM and 9:15 PM and feature the talents of Lisa Denke, Matthew Tyler Vorce, and Sammie Forsey. Zombie Joe’s Theater is in North Hollywood at 4850 Lankershim Blvd, and tickets cost only $20. Such a deal in today’s inflation-riddled economy, no?
Logline:
Gather ‘round for an intimate evening of horror! Come in out of the cold; Carol seems like a nice lady. She just wants to tell you about an anonymous phone call that led to a date that… didn’t quite go the way she hoped. Or, did it? Lisa Denke stars in “The Caller,” written and directed by Sharon Yablon.
Director’s Statement:
“I’ve had the pleasure of working at Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre a few times now. They’ve been in LA for years, doing experimental and horror shows yearlong. Their Halloween show Urban Death sells out every year. I’m so happy to be part of their Halloween season!”
