Trailer Alert Evil Dead Burn!

If you’re a self-respecting horror fan then this film has been on your must see list for quite some time. Good news! The wait was worth it. This trailer pulls zero, and we do mean ZERO, punches.

Following on the successes of the 2013’s Evil Dead reboot — which claimed to be the most terrifying film you’ll ever experience, and 2023’s Evil Dead Rise, Evil Dead Burn has all the brutal hallmarks of a film that will have gorehounds salivating all the way until July.

There’s death by kitchen utensils, death by jacked-up weed wacker, death by candle, and what’s got to be a first, death by car head rest. Much like it’s grindhouse progenitors of the 1970s, the trailer for Evil Dead Burn shows the wildest of the wild. Have no fear, we have a sinking feeling there’s way more blood-soaked goodness than the trailer actually shows.

So what do we know so far? Depending on how you’re counting, this is the sixth installment in the Evil Dead film series and this one is directed and co-written by Sébastien Vaniček, but more importantly, it’s produced series creator THE Sam Raimi. Sébastien Vaniček is, of course, the director who brought us 2024’s infested. A film that ended up on many of our best of the year films.

ATMOSfx! Woo!
A terrifying close-up of a possessed woman with dark, disheveled hair and a haunting expression from.
Trust us, it’s as gnarly as it looks.

With Sam Raimi back in the fold, Sébastien Vaniček at the helm, and quite honestly, the most gore I’ve seen in a trailer in quite some time, Evil Dead Burn is likely going to end up on a number of best of 2026 lists. Scratch that, this IS going on the best of 2026 based on the trailer alone.

Evil Dead Burn is scheduled to hit the theaters in the United States on July 10. Until then, just remember “Every family has its demons.”
