There’s a poster. There are rumors. Now there’s an honest-to-god trailer. Late in 2025, when I read that THE Eli Roth was pulling together the craziest film he’d ever made, and that it would outdo Hostel, Green Inferno, and Cabin Fever, I knew that it was going to cram-packed with gore, glorious gore!
No idea if ol’ Clint Howard is going to reprise his 1995 role from the film of the same name, or whether this is an entirely original piece of celluloid madness. From the 1995 and 2026 posters alone, it would suggest that Eli Roth is certainly in sync with 1995’s oddball food-based horror fete.
According the the good folks at IMDB, Roth’s Ice Cream Man follows “An idyllic summer town descends into madness when an ice cream man serves kids sweet delights with horrifying results.” Sound good? Of course it does.
The other exciting element is the fact that this is the first film in Roth’s new crowd-sourced production company, The Horror Section. Launched in 2025, the Horror Section “…super-serves horror fans by owning and controlling a premium intellectual property library of unhinged films, television series, and games, in addition to a podcast and curating horror-centric experiences.”
Pair this lunacy with Roth’s penchant for over-the-top gore and you’ve got yourself a winning combination. Principal photography has been entirely finished and Ice Cream Man is scheduled to be released in the United States on August 7, 2026.
Check out this new (teaser) trailer, get grossed out, and prepare yourself for this summer’s gory chaos!
