Presenting Our Closing Night World Premiere of:

ABIGAIL

The Overlook Film Festival Closing Night Feature: Abigail (2024)

From the minds behind Ready or NotScream (2022) and Scream VI comes a deliciously sinister story about a group of criminals who get more than they bargained for when they kidnap the daughter of a powerful underworld figure and are forced watch her in her isolated mansion overnight, only to discover that they may be no match for her bloodlust.

Opening Night Film

CUCKOO

The Overlook Film Festival Opening Night Feature: Cuckoo (2024)

Directed by Tilman Singer and starring Hunter Schafer, Dan Stevens, and Jessica Henwick, this beautiful and terrifying giallo-esque nightmare tells the story of a reluctant 17 year-old who moves with her family to a resort in the German Alps.  There she finds herself the subject of terrifying visions and aggressive stalking by a mysterious woman who may or may not be linked to the town’s past.

And, just to tease you a bit…

  • Sundance breakout hit, I Saw the TV Glow, Jane Schoenbrun’s story of an awkward teenager whose suburban life is rattled when his classmate introduces him to a strangely absorbing, supernatural TV show.
  • Blackout, directed by horror icon, Larry Fessenden, and featuring the legendary Barbara Crampton – who will both be at the fest!
  • Shudder’s slasher film, In a Violent Nature, directed by Chris Nash.
