Horror Short: Nose Nose Nose Eyes! (South Korea)

ATMOSfx! Woo!
This can’t be good…
South Korean film is having a moment, isn’t it? This film took its cues from the Takashi Miike school of horror. Five bucks suggest that you can’t watch this without wincing or having your toes curl.
Directed by Jiwon Moon

Nose Nose Nose Eyes is yet another great short film from the festival circuit to appear on Alter. This film played at The 2019 Overlook Film Festival and Berlin Final Girls Festival, among others.

The story, as described by the producers is very Simple:

The terrifying day a ten year old girl witnesses her mother stabbing her father’s eyes to get insurance money.

So, there you go. Pretty much all you really need to know. According to The Horror Guys, Jiwon based this story upon a real true crime in which a woman blinded her family in order to collect insurance money. This short film provides one of those lose-lose propositions. Do you save someone you love and take the sacrificial hit? Watch, and find out. Though, watching this film may require you to peek between your fingers, like I had to.
