If you know anything about the Scariest Things Podcast it’s that we love MONSTERS. Monsters of all kinds. Creatures beneath the sea, behemoths that lurk in the dark, and even the occasional URSUS HORRIBLUS! The grizzly bear.
The other thing you probably know about us is that we love us some William Girdler — Asylum of Satan, Three on a Meathook, Abby, and GRIZZLY. One of the best guilty pleasure films to ever grace the presence of a drive in theater. It should come as no surprise that we’d be excited about the release of Grizzly II. Staring Hollyweird greats as Laura Dern, Charlie Sheen, and THE George Clooney. This weirdo piece of cinema — that alternatively goes by the names: Grizzly II: Revenge, Grizzly II: The Predator, and Grizzly II: The Concert — has never really graced the silver screen, until now!
Allegedly, one the sleazy executive producers of Grizzly II skipped town with a pile of cash and the mechanical bear could sadly never be completed. Equally sleazy VHS copies of Grizzly II existed, but it never got their day in the sun, and neither did the executive producer. Some say he spent his time in a deep dark prison cell fully regretting his poor decision making.
That’s all in the past, or rather, what’s past is prologue! Grizzly II is FINALLY getting a 2021 release. For now, sit back and bask in the glow of 37 years in the making…the Grizzly II trailer!
