SXSW 2022 Reminds Us That Everything is Bigger in Texas!

ATMOSfx! Woo!

South By Southwest is one of the biggest festivals in the country. It encompasses film, music, comedy, education and technology and for a week each spring Austin is the festival. This year the SXSW film festival is back in person with a virtual component as well and based on the massive lineup, everything is bigger in Texas!

There are 99 feature films and 76 world premiers as well as short films and VR experiences. What we’re looking forward to the most are the Midnighters, 8 “scary, funny, sexy, controversial…features for night owls and the terminally curious.” The Scariest Things will be reporting on all these features and Liz will be (cowboy) boots on the ground in Austin!

Here are summaries of the Midnighers and you can read about these and all the other films on the official festival site.
