If you follow the ol’ Scariest Things Podcast you know that we love our posters! No poster is too weird, too gory, too strange, too horrifying, or too vague.
The newly minted poster for Jordan Peele’s upcoming spook show Nope is something else. It’s a little “huh?” A pinch “…whut?” And a little bit “…that doesn’t look right.” No matter your opinion on this little slice of scary hype, we are downright excited to see what young Mr. Peele has to offer.
While we are pretty over the moon about the fact that Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer and Steven Yeun are all in this film, we’re less plussed about the fact that we’re not going to get a chance to give this a look until July…2022.
That said, this is not the first time that Jordan Peele has hoisted this kind of vagary off on us. If you jump in the Scariest Things Podcast wayback machine and set a course for 2018, you’ll see an equally confounding and confusing bit of hype surrounding the brilliant, US.
We’re going to forgive Mr. Peele and the folks over at Universal and just take a deep breath and wait…and wait…and wait. Do you think we’ll be patiently waiting?
