Horror Movie News: Golem Trailer

ATMOSfx! Woo!

Well you knew it was a matter of time before Hollywood ran out of ideas. Or, maybe, just maybe, it’s a crafty remake of the 1915 classic, Der Golem. Or, hear me out…maybe it’s the missing film footage from the Golem and the Dancing Girl (1917), or maybe it’s a stylish re-imagination of The Golem: How He Came into the World (1920).

Who in the heck knows? All we do know is that on February 1, 2019, you’ll be able to buy a Golem DVD and peep this new joint VOD-style. According to the folks at Dread Central, who concocted this new slab of celluloid, this version appears to closely mimic the original story:

During an outbreak of a deadly plague, a young woman, Hanna, must save her tight-knit Jewish community from invaders. Turning to Jewish mysticism, she conjures a dangerous entity to protect her and her people. However, the powerful creature she summons may be far more evil than anything she could have ever imagined.”

What’s next? The Haunting of Baba Yaga? Baba Yaga II: The Baba Yaga-a-ning? What we do know is the Golem is headed your way soon, and in the interim you can catch the trailer right here!

The Golem is written and co-produced by Ariel Cohen and produced by Shalom Eisenbach and the Paz brothers.
