Don’t think Velvet Buzzsaw is going to be the next Wrong Turn, this one looks to have some serious chops. From Dan Gilroy, the Director who brought us 2014’s Nightcrawler, Velvet Buzzsaw also features Jake Gyllenhaal, Toni Collette, and, and, and…John Malkovich! Wow. That’s a whole lotta cred right there.
In a rather Twilight Zone kind of treatment, Velvet Buzzsaw is about art (or an artist) that exacts revenge on a bunch of snooty folks in the art world who’ve lost sight of their original love of art. Greed kills, or in this case, art kills greed.
