Horror Movie News: Horror Noire Coming Soon to Shudder

ATMOSfx! Woo!

It’s never too late to get a Shudder subscription. Trust us, it’s worth it. To wit, Shudder’s announced a brand new documentary, Horror Noire. According to the good folks at Shudder, Horror Noire is “…based on the acclaimed book of the same name by Dr. Robin R. Means Coleman, HORROR NOIRE takes a critical look at a century of genre films that by turns utilized, caricatured, exploited, sidelined, and embraced both black filmmakers and black audiences.”

Horror Noire will be premiering on Shudder on February 7, and will be featuring tons of cool interviews with folks like THE Jordan Peele, directors Rusty Cundieff (Tales from the Hood,  Tina Mabry (Mississippi Damned) , and Ernest Dickerson (Bones). Horror Noire also features actors Paula Jai Parker (Tales from the Hood) and (the greatest performance of all time) Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead).

Fascinating slice of horror and a fascinating subject. Don’t be surprised if you see a review for Horror Noire on the Scariest Things website, or even better…a full podcast covering this riveting subject!
