Horror Movie News: The Farm Released on Streaming

Fangoria! Woo!
FARM
Ken Volok is the creepy landlord from The Farm.

So, do you like the idea of cannibal farmers?  The Scariest Things’ most viewed movie review now has been released on streaming media!

Of all the movies I have reviewed this year, no review has been clicked on as much as the the-farm-2018-horror-movie-film-2018-1Hillbilly slop fest, The Farm (review link)This is a hugely disturbing film, and not for the faint of heart.  It is also has plot holes you can drive a truck through.  But your mileage may vary.  The movie was on the festival circuit, and I saw the world premiere at the Overlook Film Festival, and The Scariest Things gets the honor of being the #1 source of information on this movie on Google!  (Yay?)

I have gotten numerous requests of “Where can I see this movie?”  Well, now here’s the answer!  It’s available streaming on Amazon Prime, Fandango Now, and Vudu. It also is having a very limited theatrical release this weekend, so catch it if you can, if you’re in a big city.  It probably won’t be in theaters very long.

Despite the fact that I didn’t give a glowing review to the film, congratulations need to be given to director Hans Stjernswärd who has delivered a memorable first feature film.  And, on a personal note, I really appreciate what this movie has done for traffic on our site.  It’s rather astounding, to be honest, how much attention it has been getting.  Clearly, this has struck a meaty nerve, managing to get more traffic on our site than Hereditary (#2), A Quiet Place, Halloween, A Ghost Story, The Nun, Annihilation, or any of the bigger releases from this year.  Crazy!

If you want to see a road trip go horribly wrong, where the men get processed as meat stock, and the women are milking stock for a bunch of degenerate mask-wearing rednecks?  Well, this is the movie for you!  If you have the stomach for eviscerations and bad decisions, you might really enjoy this film… but consider yourself WARNED. And do see this film, and let us know what you think.  Am I wrong about this?  Is Eric just a big gore sissy?  Granted, I did make it through the whole film… so I’m not a complete wimp, but this was certainly in the discussion of A bridge too far films. On the Scariest Things horror metric, I give this about a 21 for how uneasy it made me feel.

And, if the trailer from my review didn’t clue you in, they have released a second Red-Band trailer, which you can watch here:
