Deena Warner’s Top 25 Horror Movies

ATMOSfx! Woo!
A Nightmare on Elm Street

Notable horror book cover artist Deena Warner brings a new #1 title to the table, with an old friend in a red and black sweater. And a beat-up old hat.  And some knives on his fingers. With chunks of teenager meat on them.

I’m a cover artist and website designer. I’ve been working in the genre since around 1999 and was named the artist guest of honor at the HWA’s Bram Stoker Award weekend. I’ve built websites for some cool people like Dean Koontz, Neil Gaiman, and George R.R. Martin. I debate movies with a lot of horror writers, including my husband, Matthew Warner. My website is deenawarner.net

My list has a lot to do with re-watchability. As in, if you asked me to watch this movie right now, how likely would I be to say yes. Some push the boundaries of what is considered horror, but they’re all dark and delicious.
