boogey-book A Quiet Place (2018) are putting the finishing touches on a deal that will finally bring Stephen King’s short story “The Boogeyman” to the big screen.

King first published “The Boogeyman” in the March 1973 issue of Cavalier magazine. In 1978, the story found its way into the book Night Shift, the first collection of Stephen King’s short stories. Since then, it’s been used as the basis of several short films as well as a stage production, but has never been given the glory of a feature-length adaptation. Not that every Stephen King short story survives the transition to the silver screen (..<cough>The Mangler (1995)<cough>…), but if anyone can pull it off it’s Beck and Woods.
