The Goofiest Movie Monster of All Time!

You have to appreciate the imagination of the people behind the design of the featured alien.  It’s as if a crab and a traffic cone had a baby.  The fact that it is just tall enough to hide the stuntman inside the costume is almost genius! It’s almost… aw hell… who am I kidding… it IS too silly to be scary.  Unless it mind controls me to think otherwise.

Lee Van Cleef and Peter Graves would go on to bigger and much better things, but Beverly Garland had made a career out of the 50’s monster matinee feature.  For a brief moment she had the discount Marilyn Monroe thing going on.  Being in movies like this probably didn’t help her career too much.
