The acclaimed horror film festival is in the French Quarter of New Orleans from April 19-22! Bring your own garlic and stakes.

Last year, the inaugural Overlook Film Festival was in my backyard, at the Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood, Oregon.  The Timberline was the setting for the Overlook Hotel in the Shining, and provided a fantastic venue for a horror film festival.  This year’s hotel is the haunted Bourbon Orleans Hotel, a grande dame baroque venue, and reputed to be haunted by a little girl, so proton packs might be handy.  Last year the movies included Mayhem, Prey, Lake Bodom, Killing Ground, and the centerpiece was It Comes at Night.  The website has a full list of everything that was screened last year, but this year’s films have not yet been announced. If they follow the form from last year, they will also have a mystery horror live action game, which from all reports was a whole lot of fun.

A four day pass is $380.  I’m going to be going for sure!  Hope to see some of you there, it looks to be a blast!

For ticketing information and reservations see the festival website here:
