The band is back together. The latest from the set of Halloween 2018!
For those of you who didn’t know, this October the iconic cast of Halloween is getting back together for Halloween 2018. The movie is written by David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express, Your Highness) and Danny McBride (Vice Principals, Eastbound and Down, Alien Covenant) and is being produced by the powerhouse duo of Jason Blum and John Carpenter. Better yet, Jamie Lee Curtis, still stunning at age 59, returns as Laurie Strode, and Nick Castle, looking reasonably spry for a 70-year-old, is back to reprise Michael Myers. The new movie started filming on January 12, and already some fun tidbits about the film are coming out.
Here’s Nick Castle’s Instagram showing us that he’s not too old to stalk Laurie! Well, as long as Laurie is walking. I hope he’s stealthy, as I don’t know if Nick is going to be running down any victims.
And here’s Jamie Lee Curtis’ tweet from yesterday about her shooting range aim. Looks like a shot to the heart! (Cue Bon Jovi) Just in case Michael Myers gets close to Laurie, he should be aware that she’s a crack shot.

So, there you have the matchup for this year’s Halloween. I think the scales seem to be balancing! I’m curious to see how this plot unfolds. The last time we checked in with Laurie was in 1998 for Halloween H20: 20 Years Later. I wonder if they will formally change the title for this one to be Halloween H40: 40 Years Later. They really should.
